Mads Nielsen
Mads Nielsen esplora la pittura come un atto di trasgressione e dissoluzione, un processo in cui l'immagine si spinge oltre i propri confini per diventare un'esperienza fisica e sensoriale. La sua ricerca si inserisce in un dialogo con la pittura rinascimentale e barocca, evocando atmosfere di tensione, collasso e rinascita. Attraverso una rappresentazione potente e viscerale, Nielsen mette in scena corpi fluttuanti, paesaggi in combustione e frammenti di materia che si dissolvono in fumo e luce, evocando quella che lui stesso definisce la "catastrofizzazione del sacro".
Le sue opere non sono semplicemente immagini da contemplare, ma eventi pittorici in cui il colore e la materia si trasformano, evocando il desiderio di una bellezza che emerge dalla rovina. Con un linguaggio che richiama il manierismo tardo-rinascimentale, abbandona ogni idealizzazione per riflettere le tensioni del presente, costruendo scenari in cui la fine e l’inizio si intrecciano in un vortice di energia cosmica.
