Unveiling the Unknown
In corso
Lou Jaworski follows a post-minimalist approach in his sculptures, installations, and prints, employing a reduced visual language. By using metaphorically or physically charged materials such as marble, ferrite magnets, graphite, and meteorites, his work attains a timeless and universal dimension. His research explores material memory and storage, sometimes incorporating server rack components as architectural structures. The tactile presence of these materials often evokes both mystical and digital references, reminiscent of grids and 3D renderings.
Born in 1981 in Warsaw, Poland. Lives and works in Warsaw. His works have been exhibited in solo and group shows in Pingyao, New York, Munich, and Tel Aviv. In 2017, he participated in the Festival of Future Nows at Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin, directed by Udo Kittelmann. He received the Debut Award of the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and Art in 2016 and the Studio Grant of the City of Munich in 2017. His works are part of the Bavarian State Painting Collections and private collections in Germany and Switzerland.
